Online meeting and literature guidance

Sharing OA Literature Online.

Use OA-approved literature in online meetings and digital communications in ways that support recovery while respecting OA copyright and trademark requirements.

Screen sharing

Before displaying literature in an online meeting, confirm that the specific material and planned use are permitted by OA’s current guidance.

Copies and recordings

Screen sharing does not automatically authorize distributing copies, posting images, or preserving copyrighted material in a recording.

Credits and permission

Use required copyright credits and request permission when OA guidance says the proposed use requires it.

A practical meeting check

Confirm before you share.

  1. 01

    Identify the exact material

Check the title, publisher, format, and whether the item is current OA-approved literature or another protected work.

  2. 02

    Check the current OA policy

Review OA’s official copyright and trademark guidance for electronic screen sharing, reprinting, credits, and permitted materials.

  3. 03

    Use the narrowest appropriate access

Share only what the meeting needs, avoid unnecessary redistribution, and contact OA when the intended use is unclear.
